Default h23 vtec rod bearing clearance

I am building my h22. i have h22 pistons on h23 crank and rods. I was wanting to know what rod bearings clearances to use. I built a b20 vtec used oem clearances, i broke a rod 2 times i talk to a guy on here on time he to told me to use looser clearances i did and it works, i have not broke a rod in 10000 miles of pure he11. he told me the a longer stroke and high rev b20 vtec needs more clearance. so do you think a longer stroke h22 would need the looser clearances
