resleeving H23A ?
I'm planning on building the WHOLE bottom end up on an H23A. Planning to get some ductile iron sleeves. Has anyone done this or can give me some advice? Thanks
Blownlude is having his H23 resleeved and assembled by Golden Eagle for 900 bucks.
If you are gonna get serious, you might want to consider decking your block and getting custom rods made. It will vastly improve the rod/stroke ratio. If you don't want to do that, destroking is possible via an H22 crank. With the H22 crank, rod/stroke ratio will be improved slightly over an H23. The stock H23 rod/stroke ratio is shitty at best.
Use the piston oil squirters that are in the H22.

oh dear god. people..rod ratio isnt all that its cracked up to be. that *** rod ratio is why the lude has a fairly good torque curve. there are trade offs for everything...and larry's obsession with r/s ratio isnt the end all be all of motors.
oh yeah.. if you plan to run a forged piston relseeving is a definate must do. stock aluminium cylinders are poop. at least b series have iron. hmmph.
anyhoo our bill for sleeving was about 500 using ductile sleeves.
