Can a Vafc be used on a Mass air flow sensor'd car? such as a Mazda miata?
its going turbo and the guy want to install a vafc. i understand the "v" is not gonna be wiried up. I know it works for a Map but can i wire it up to a Mass?

I highly doubt it, MAF sensor is more of a flow meter, and MAP of course is pressure. I believe it would need the MAP to work properly, as well as the fact its ment for a vtec equipped honda. Try looking at the safc.

I think he's going to be right on this...

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a way to make it work, but I wouldn't try and mess with it. Easier to sell it and buy the proper tool for the car.

No the VAFC will not. The VAFC is setup for speed density (MAP) signal. The SAFC might work with some Mcguyver-ing. There are no wiring diagrams for the SAFC available for miatas as far as I know, however.

You will most likely have to run the car on 2 cylinder mode on the SAFC setting. The coil packs for miatas fire 2 cylinders at a time. Meaning the ignition doesn't operate like a conventional 4 cylinder. I'm almost 100% sure that that's how the coils operate on miatas. This may depend on the year of the miata. I have limited miata knowledge. But I can make one go fast around a track
