16 inch rim tire size
I just got some 16's from my bro, but the tires are shot, what would would be a tire size that is relatively small so i wont have any problems rubbing. And so i can tuck easier. I kinda want it vehicle specific for my 01 lx
Sorry the title is worng they are 16's

Do you mean a 2001 Honda Civic LX, or a 2001 Honda Accord LX?
If it's a Civic LX, it came with 185/70-14 stock, and 205/50-16 is the best 16" size for you.
If it's a 4-cylinder Accord LX, it came with 195/65-15 stock, and 205/55-16 is the best 16" size for you.
If it's a V6 Accord LX, it came with 205/65-15 stock, and 205/60-16 is the best 16" size for you.

I took care of that.

Assuming it's a Civic LX, I would stick with 205/50-16. It's closer in diameter to his stock size of 185/70-14; 205/50-16 is 0.5 percent smaller, whereas 215/50-16 is 1.1 percent larger. Remember, you start really risking rubbing whenever you choose a tire size that is more than 20 mm wider or 1 percent larger in diameter, and 215/50 is both. You have a wide selection of tires to choose from in 205/50-16 too. So those are the reasons why I recommend 205/50-16.

Wow, on an '01-05 Civic, that's just WAY off. The front tires are over 7 percent smaller in diameter than stock!!! They will lower your car (the WRONG way) by almost an inch, throw off the gauges big-time, make your gas mileage worse, etc. And looks are personal, of course, but unless you're actually going for the low rider look, I think using tires that are way smaller than normal looks just plain stupid.

205/40-16 is the best 16" size for a '91 CRX. You can also use 195/45-16. 205/45-16 is a bit too big.
Remember, different cars use different size tires.

I always use 205/40/16, this is the first time i used the 205/45/16 on there...because well...they were FREE..the 45, so i gave it a shot. It doesnt look any different though..just a tad bit, un-noticeable.

205.50.16 would be a great size. Narrow and not too tall if your dropped. Can't go wrong with Kuhmo AST's in that size. They're only about $68.00 each for the pocket on a budget. Falken 512 is also a good choice for a few bucks more usually.

Sure you can. The AST is just not all that good. Assuming he needs all-seasons (if he has separate winter tires, he doesn't), for just a little more money he can get the Kumho ASX, which is head and shoulders (tread and shoulders
) better than the AST or the Falkens. The ASX is $75/tire plus shipping at the Tire Rack, $84/tire with free shipping at Discount Tire Direct.

Those are very good summer tires, and great for the money. Just don't use them in the winter, especially not in snow.

Yes, rain is fine. In fact, the Kumho SPT is outstanding in rain.
The problem with snow is that the tread pattern on the SPT isn't designed for it, so they just don't grip well; you'll be sliding all over the place. The problem with extreme cold is that the compound on summer tires isn't designed for that use, so it's not particularly flexible, and they get pretty hard. So you won't have as much grip as you would, say, with an all-season tire or a winter tire.
This isn't specific to the SPT; it's true of almost any summer tire.
