After i installed a new clutch and flywheel, the speedometer didnt work. The speed sensor wasnt together, and after i connected it together the car wouldnt start, and it would blow my ECU fuse. Without the speed sensor connected, it will run and drive fine, but vtec will not engage because of the speed sensor not being hooked up. Does anyone know where to find a diagram of the speed sensor to see if maybe the wires got caught up somewhere causing a short, or know what could be the problem

 

+1 for wiring pinched between tranny and block. Ive seen it done before.

 

does the speedo still work ,I'm curious because this may be why my vtec wont work

 

speedo doesn't work, i think i figured it out though. The wiring deffinately was pinched between the tranny and block, because when the speed sensor is disconnected, it starts fine. When it is connected, it blows the ECU fuse and wont start, but if your having problems with VTEC not engaging and your speedo doesnt work, than the speedo would be the problem.
