Default idle fuel pressure 40-45psi... drops to 20psi at WOT... wtf?

b18a

fuel pressure jumps around alot at idle from 40-45 with the vacuum line connected...
it goes from 45-50 with the line disconnected

then with a wide open throttle press, it dies down to 20psi and the car boggs horribly

when driving it random does this and then stops... then runs fine... then does it again

took the FPR off of my ls/vtec car which is why the base pressure is higher then normal... but i thought maybe my stock one was bad because it was too losing pressure at WOT

i don't know if it's the pump... filter... or something else inline

i do want to know what the regulator looking thing on fuel rail at the return line is
my vtec rail just has a run-through bolt on it instead
and i'm wondering if that might be causing it

it has a little screw/spring thing on the top and it sucks in when the fuel pressure drops

91 teg

i was thinking the pump might be going out

i just put a new filter on it like 20 minutes ago... and same jazz...

i guess i'll have to swap the walboro from my ls/vtec car into this thing

hopefully.... (since it's the last piece in the fuel system) it will fix my issues

where you connect your fuel feed, it dampens fuel pump osilation, change the pump out, if its a 91 with a stock pump its prolly on its way out

its either a bad fuel pump, or possibly a restriction in the line, although thats not as likely as the pump.
