Default NEED HELP REMOVING GLUE UNDER HOOD BADGE!!!

i was removing the stock badges on my DA to put on a set of jdm ones. the rear "A" and "Acura" came off with a little bit of filing with a thin knife and the remaining glue came off with a nylon brush and some soap/water/alcohol. the trunk looks fine. the glue under the "A" on the hood was too thick to file off so i decided to wait until i had a blowdryer or heat gun. blowdried the emblem for a good 5 minutes or so today filed the loose glue out and pulled the badge off only to find that it peeled the paint around one of the holes. plus theres a pretty good amount of glue still stuck to the hood! i just sat the badge back in the holes and decided to ask for help on how to get the remaining glue off of the hood without damaging the hood. ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Usually Goo-Gone works fine.

If that don't work,
go and get this part that looks like a tiny roll of cheese (can't remember the name, we call it an eraser), made in rubber-like material, yellowish white in color, that's designed to remove glue, and other adhessive materials without damaging the paint. It's used on a drill so be careful.

scrubbed the hell out of it with goo-gone and that got the glue off but the paint under the glue looks mangled. might try to sand the paint down and re-paint it with some touch up paint. post pics tomorrow.
