i was having an eratic idle jumping up and down. i removed iacv and cleaned it out disgustingly dirty reinstalled and still had the same idle. i removed the tps and replaced it with the one off my stock gsr tb. forgot to mention its a edelbrock tb. so when i reinstalled it and started it, idle is at 3k rpm i loosened it and moved the tps back and forth all it did was cause the idle to get higher and now my cel is on code 7 TPS i tried resetting ecu nothing. please if someone can help me with this problem i'd appreciate it thanks.

also having problems with sticky gas pedal! since i installed the edelbock tb on my skunk2 im please if someone can help with either prob id appreciate it..... for your info motors a gsr in my 94 hatch

 

You need to adjust your tps to spec. If I remember correctly its 0.4v at resting throttle and 4.5v at wot. Try re routing your cable or lube the throttle cable.

With the TB closed, sensor disconnected, ign off:
Pins 1 and 2 = 0.5-0.9ohms

0.5volts with the TB closed
4.5volts with the TB fully open


These specs should also be correct from the factory. If theyre not, and you havent replaced the tps, you know its time to do so.
If you have replaced the tps and these readings arent met, your sensor isnt positioned properly</TD></TR></TABLE>

 

do you set it while car is on or off because i move it back and forth while on but it only makes the idle get higher

 

check the ohms with the sensor disconnected. Then withe the sensor connected ignition on (car is not running though) probe the wire and move until .5 volts then wot should have 4.5v.
