I was wondering if it was possible to run a manual ECU on an auto. I found a deal on a car i want to buy but the ECU is missing and earlier today my brother took a friends EX ecu out there and said it wouldn't start it. Problem is his is a manual and the car is an auto.
Also is it possible i could limp the car back home on a 1996 GSR ecu?

You can drive the car on a manual ecu you WILL have a cel light on, I don't know if its bad for the transmission, just put it home slowly with a manual ecu.
