ok my girlfriend got a 1998 integra LS and recently i've notice that when she drives the car around town the temperature would be at normal temperature which is about the 1/3 way on the gauge but then when she drives on the freeway the temperature goes almost all the way down to the cold. what may be causing this issue? her car does have an engine check light but then its only indicating a cylinder misfire and this check engine light has been on for a little over half a year now with the temperature being normal all the time. so this temperature changing is just recent so what can be the problem?

what he said, but just replace it, $20.00 for the thermostat and seal.

 

make sure you put the notch at the 12 o clock position
