My foglights greatly increase my light output. I have the square clear lights for my '98 EX. I also have a hatch here that had the square yellow foglights, but they don't light the road as well, apparently because of the yellow paint.
You might want to check that your headlights are currently properly aligned too.

So, by that logic you can trust something to be what it claims to be *because* it claims to be that very thing? I know you're joking. Right?

the fogs will help a bit - but your best bet would be to get better bulbs. Phillips Extreme Whites (i think they are called) are extremely good bulbs for i think like 55 bucks..same cost of PIAA's which are also pretty damn good. Better than spending and retrofitting HIDs into your headlight housing, and in the past SOME people have had housings melt a little bit from the HIDs.

Fog lights are meant to point at the ground. The purpose of this is to illuminate the lines on the road in heavy fog so you can see the LINES better.
Fog lights aren't meant to see "further" or "better" - only to see the lines more clearly.
Most of the time they're just aesthetics, and people claim they have function but they're not even aimed to the sides like a regular fog light.
I'd get brighter head lights if you wanna see better at night.

This is essentially accurate, though one could certainly argue that fog lamps are indeed intended to help one see "better" in inclement weather conditions.

What do you mean by this? Fog lamps and driving lamps have two vastly different beam patterns.

Mine look like the OEM square foglights, but they have the beam pattern of driving lights.

It just happens that the Esuse lights light as driving lamps.
