Cometic Head Gasket.
Haha, yes of course. I want to make a quick and cheap way of making it safer for my motor, so therefore lowering the compression with these would be better than stock and day. Just wanted to know best possible compression ratio for the street to boost on and be pretty safe. And I was wondering the best possible CR that the B16's usually are ran on...
Well what kind of power are you looking for? Is it a jdm b16 or a usdm b16? (Wanting to know stock c/r). If its just a street setup and its a stock motor, i'm assuming your looking for 250-300whp. If that is the case, I would most likely just leave the compression how it is. Maybe just put in a pair of headstuds with a new oem gasket and be done. Grab a t3/04e 57 trim turbo with some good ems and you should be set.
usdm b16a2. Cool, but I traded my Jackson Racing SC for a Turbonetics 60-1 turbo kit from my friend. I know its a big *** turbo for a stock *** motor, but I traded him anyways. I'd be happy if I spiked atleast 300whp. I'm gonna try to find someone with a smaller turbo that might want to trade, but it'll need to fit my setup. Thanks dude.
Lower compression isnt going to make it "safer" per say. It will merely allow you to run a lower grade fuel and make more power without fear of detonation. IMO, there are better ways to spend your money.
