Default D16z6 swap. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

A friend of mine is trying to get his DA on the road after destroying his B18a, he just bought a d16 for cheap and now we're trying to figure out what all we're going to need for the swap. So far he has the axels, transmission, shifter and linkage, exhaust components, etc. But what ecu is needed, any known wiring issues? A needed parts list and possibley a link to a build thread would be much appreciated since i couldn't find one. I want him to get that sohc in his teg as soon as possible so i can laugh at him until he boosts it : )

To make this work for someone who is at the "level of broke" you are talking about, you would need mounts from a civic/crx d series and definitely a few other things like the throttle cable, axles, linkage...ETC. I understand your friend is broke, but you are gonna spend more than you would on a high mileage used LS by the time you get everything you need. Good luck though if you try!

you can sell the z6 which will be slow as ***** and you can go and buy a jdm ls for like 600 for the long block and you won't need to do any ghetto mods.

it wasnt just his block that was gone, his head got taken out too. i guess he figured that my friends d16 was the cheapest alternative to a new ls motor

Like I said, he's not going to buy an ls longblock since he already got the d16 from a friend. He doens't have much money and $200 for a d16 with axels, tranny, etc vs. $600-$800 for a b18a was out of his budget. Can somebody help with this swap and not keep saying that he could buy an ls for cheap. Not really helping anything at all

**** is pointless man buy a ls head for like 40 bucks and a block for like 200 and your fine NOONE does a d16 swap in a teg dont even think theres any threads to help a idea like that.. if you still gonna try it good luck but
the parts u need to put that d16 in there is gonna cost you just as much as getting a ls mounts axles ecu tranny clutch flywheel headers all that is money too but good luck

it's not me thats doing the d16 swap, as i said before its a friend of mine (I have a fully functional b18a integra ls soon to be frankenstiened with a b16a head and p30 pistons along with support mods ill be damned if i put a sohc motor in my car) also if he had the money for a ls head and block, he probably wouldve bought the ls setup as a replacement already. Now I know that the d16 swap isnt entirely unheard of there's a few ppl on ht with d16 tegs and hell a few of the awd jdm tegs came from the factory with d16s. i was just expecting for someone to post something mildly helpful along the lines of him dropping in the d16 NOT a b18 so i could print it out and he could use the tips or part list to keep on moving forward in his swap. Guess he'll just have to consult a decent shop he has most of the parts besides the ecu, just wondering how difficult the swap will be

i sold my a1 for 250 and it ran very well when i pulled it... so imagine you could find a b18a1. i saw one in the junkyard listed for 275 a few days ago. on the issue of the d16, i think you might end up spending a lot more than you planned.
