Default Supercharger question..doos and donts

Hello everyone.. so there isnt much in the search about superchargers..so i have a few questions if you guys dont mind answering.

What is the ideal compresion ratio to run a JRSC on a b series motor?
Will a JRSC GSR clear the crx engine bay?
It it worth the $2000+++
How reliable are these superchargers

And it would be cool if you could post your setup.. Motor, internals, compression ratio, psi and hp numbers..etc...

thanks

woops misspelled the title...

ideal meaning what? ideal for the best HP gains? displacement also comes into play if you want to build the most potent setup.

yes it will.

it's worth it if you think its worth it. many have done it.
is it worth it on a drag car? probably not.

very reliable, they can go 100,000 miles before needing a rebuild in most cases. it's just a simple Eaton blower that has been used on plenty of factory cars including Fords and Mercedes.

Well I read the thread you linked to me up to the point where they start talking about irelevant things. For the GSR motor setup that you did.. was your motor built and what were the numbers?

it's like 400+ pages of GREAT INFO!

ask specific questions at the end.... it's turned more into a SC discussion thread.

</TD></TR></TABLE> at least as reliable as a turbo. you just have to replace the belt way more often and keep up on checking belt tension
