Default v-tec wire

so i was snooping around the engine bay a little in an attempt to locate the v-tec. i found it and when i did i noticed that there was no wire going to it. ie it is not hooked up to work.

so my question is: "where do i find one of the v-tect wire? and how much do they cost?"

thanks

ian

Your vtec solenoid should actually have two wires, one for the solenoid and one for the pressure switch, but it would/should pull a CEL if it wasn't connected. What kind of car/motor combination are you talking about? R u sure it's a vtec ECU in your car?

also does it cause a problem if it is a vtec motor and a non-vtec ecu?

It causes the obvious problem of VTEC not working, but it won't do damage to the engine if that's what you're asking.

more or less "pin-splice" and play lol. You will have to splice into the pressure switch and pin the ecu. It's simple no worries lol, Just hit up you local radio shack
