v-tec wire
so i was snooping around the engine bay a little in an attempt to locate the v-tec. i found it and when i did i noticed that there was no wire going to it. ie it is not hooked up to work.
so my question is: "where do i find one of the v-tect wire? and how much do they cost?"
thanks

Your vtec solenoid should actually have two wires, one for the solenoid and one for the pressure switch, but it would/should pull a CEL if it wasn't connected. What kind of car/motor combination are you talking about? R u sure it's a vtec ECU in your car?
it is a 1994 dx with a jdm d15b. how do i know if it is a vtec ecu? i know nothing about these cars, i am a subaru guy. i am really ttrying to just fix this car to drive for a while then ultimately sell it. but i dont want to sell it with a vtecmotor and not have it work.

It causes the obvious problem of VTEC not working, but it won't do damage to the engine if that's what you're asking.
