Default what to do what to do

My 93 vtec has some cancer starting.. my friend will do the body work and paint for $300. I just buy the paint for around $140-150.

Now, do i have him and fix the body and sell it and buy a 5th gen

B. Do i fix the body and buy a jdm h22a long block and go from there.

C. do i try to get $2500 how it sits lol

thats what i'm lean towards.. i wouldnt have to buy a motor for awhile.. still runnin good...


anyone else wanna chime in with their thoughts?

why swap the motor? is it bad? keep the usdm motor, and paint it...

my h23 has around 230k and i'm just working on my exterior until my motor goes then swapping jdm h22

well, the rust, is it the classic wheel well rust, you need to replace the metal there, or else it comes back in 2 weeks, just keep the car do some body work , and save your money. That way you can afford the labor on your jdm swap. And maybe some mods : )

do a compression and leakdown test to see if your motor is healthy, then go from there....
just do general maintenance (timing belt, water pump, seals)

keep your 4th gen. If you can do a motor swap than you can pull off those rear corner panels and grind them down. Apply a rust inhibitor (rustoleum is one for instance) as a primer and than paint it to match your color code.

If you pu$$y out on your 4th gen I'll be soo ashamed
lol

Whats maybe a couple days of work worth??? Not an entire vehicle replacement thats for sure. Tough it out man, 4th gens are way more fly and are getting more rare by the day. As are 5th gens too I guess, but there are far less 4th gens on the road now a days than 5th.
