check out your inner cv joints

my car would rattle really bad , but it also could be the LSD . but axels are easier to check out .

well when did this start to happen?
My car just doesnt work with advance axles, i had a simalar problem. I went with car quest axles and never had a problem. Now i have DSS axle 2.9 and we have been trying to find the correct length for my car for a while now.

im fairly sure it's not the inner cv since i have replaced them 3 consecutive times
im not sure exactly when it happened but i think it started after i installed the innovative mounts

92hondalude what lengths have you tried and what is your setup
i just ordered a shorter axle for the right side hopeing it would compensate for the larger m2b4 trans abd possible shift from the innovative mounts

not sure i just have to take the axle nut off and then put the tire back on and lowwer the car back on the ground. Then measure how much the axle is sticking out of the hub. Then lightly tap the axle in untill it stops and measure that then find the difference. I give the difference to DSS and they try a new length. Its hard to measure a axle because it has some play in the joints.
DSS and other performance axles have less play in them, thats one of the reasons why they are stronger.
So like i said before i had the same problem getting axles from advance auto parts with my M2A4 tranny with quaife LSD. try a different brand like car quest. Any place will work just try to get a lifetime warrenty.

yeah i have done the same for measureing and have ordered a axle 1/2 inch shorter from dss

my old axle only stuck out 1/2 inch when pushed in all the way so the new one should have a full inch of play

what is yours currently at

why did you get the axle shorter,
was the car shakeing,
and did it fix the problem
why do you need another shorter one

1.i got it shorter because the car was shaking.
2.Yes
3.i keep getting less and less vibrations each time they send it back to me.
4.because i keep sending it back an they just keep taking little bits off at a time till we find the correct length.

yeah I had a 92 Accord with H22A4 swap and DSS could never seem to get my axles righ teither. I now have A1 Cardone rebuilts in my 92 Si with H22. They are very good, no vibration at all.

What brought you to that conclusion?

Don't use advance auto axles. Raxles makes good stuff.
