H2B Air conditioning
I'm currently comtemplating doing an H2B swap in my hatch. Trying to narrow the gap with the S2000 a bit, going from one car to the other currently makes me slightly sad in the pants.
But I'd REALLY like to keep the A/C. Has anyone tried it and had success? Is it a matter of cutting new lines, or is there just no room for the compressor? If it's an issue with room, is there ANY chance of a relocation? I'm an mech. engineer by trade, so designing/drawing/fabbing up a bracket wouldn't be that big a deal, especially with 3 axis mills out in the shop.
Just wanted a little more info before the bank account gets lighter. Forgive me if it's been covered in the FAQ or discussion, but it's several hundred pages long at this point.

i dont know of anyone who has done it. i have yet to see pictures. im sure it can be done. i have the ESP upper d-series mount kit and there is room below the alternator. im pretty sure that with your experience you can fab something up.
I'm in the process right now of trying to accomplish this in a 95 integra using a b-series a/c compressor. I just recieved my explictspeed d-series alternator bracket, but it looks like i will need to modify the tensioner bracket for a little more clearance for the compressor. I'm trying to locate a spare b-series compressor to mock up the h22 a/c bracket to the b-series compressor. Ill take some pics of what I have done now and post it later today.
perfect, please do.
I just need to know there's hope. a custom one off bracket with longer belt and an idle or tension setup isn't an issue IMO. But not having A/C is a dealbreaker in a daily around DC. Just gets too damn humid, and half the time I'm rocking a suit.
