H22 Egr an Iacv problem?

Default H22 Egr an Iacv problem?

Ok me and my friend both have h22 swaps on our civic but his a lil faster, his has egr blocked off and a couple other stuff, mine dont, whats the benefits on that.......and also i heard of poeple blocking off their Iacv????? i have a 93 jdm H22 engine his is a 96.....thanks

blocking off the egr will not give you any power gains. ALl it does is recycle exhaust gas into the intake at crusing speeds. Nothing to do with full throtal.

As for your friends motor, well its a 96 and yours is a 93. His motor is probally in better condtion than yours and is probally why it performs better.

They are usually attempts to remove poor idles, buy blocking potential vacuum leaks that occur when those* systems fail (egr, iacv,) And also to reduce heat (FITV) at the throttle body/intake to keep the air as cold as possible.

So how do you know his is faster? Do you guys actually swap rides and than You beat him with his car (thus proving its not the driver but actually the car) or by comparing butt dyno numbers?
