1st question, what is the transmission and clutch assembly? If this is a cable tranny with anything above a heavy duty clutch then that is the problem.
I would replace the assembly.
If you have a cable tranny with better than a heavy duty clutch, I would convert to a hydro tranny.

</TD></TR></TABLE>actually its a stock GSR clutch but improper installation of the hasport cable to hydro conversion kit will do it to yah
not only did it screw up my pedals but it also stretched the **** out of my clutch cable and fried my clutch. but thanks for the info

This has happened to many of people. It probably would just be easiest to get one from a junk yard. Somebody needs to step up and make us a bullet proof pedal assembly for as cable trans guys......
a buddy of mine has his break this past summer on his stock clutched B16 Ef. I laughed at him when it happened. No more than a week later mine broke in almost all the same spots as yours, except that rod for the clutch arm completely ripped out of the bracket, instead of just cracking it. I have a stage II clutch in mine though.
I figured there was no point in buying a new one because obviously it'll just happen again so i fixed mine. i just welded the cracks, and i gusseted it in some weak spots to help it to stop flexing. i also gusseted that rod on the clutch arm so all the pressure is'nt in 1 spot. Its been holding strong since the end of this summer.
Now instead of broken clutch pedals i have gone through 2 clutch cables since then.
If its not one its the other. Don't covert to hydro, hydro clutchs feel like ***, cable to the death for me!

Yep, straighten it out, weld it, maybe add a brace if you're going to run a heavy clutch. I welded a piece of metal i found in the garage to mine.

I've replaced a couple for hatchies, not crxen but from my experience the 88-89 models have the pedal assembly with just that small bolt, which is easily breakable. On the later 90-91 models, honda actually designed them a little beefier, extra bracing and such. I currently have a 91 assy. on my 89 and havent had any problems yet. If you get a used one try to pick one from the later ef years.

yes this happens very often. Happened to me twice about 10 yrs ago. heavy duty pressure plate, daily driven. the pedal assembly just gets worn out and takes its toll on it. Slowly started having to adjust the cable and eventually to the point you cant anymore when the assy just bends too much.
cheapest way is to just replace it with another assy.
