Default EG lights. want to paint housing of corners black. how do i get cover off??!?!?!?! melt it?

okay so i took my corner off and wdas thinking of a way to make them smoked but not on the outside. so i took them off and stuffed a black cloth inside of them and they looked sick! just like smoked amber so i want to know how to get the amber piece off to get to the housing

i heard u can put them in the oven and the glue will melt? then to put them back on? what should i use? super glue? i know this will look sick and im going to do a how to if they come out good

any opinions on how to get the lens off?

THANK YOU in advanced

oven @200degrees for 5 mins. That would open the lens and use some kind of glass sealant to seal it back on.

i tried this on an old set trying to do the same thing. i had no luck getting them apart. i thought about using a bone saw right behind the lense but never got around to it.
