Default Just a simple ecu question...

Ok, so I have a cheap *** ebay chipped p30 in my car with a b16 basemap. I have a JDM GSR motor though in my hatch. My car definetly doesn't run to its full potential. I have a DC 4-1 header, Apex-i WS2 exhaust, and a Skunk 2 IM. I get beat by almost stock b16 hatches. Can the basemap and ecu really affect my car that much? If so, I need to definetly get a GSR basemap with maybe a chipped p28.

The P30 doesn't have the capability to open the secondaries at ~6800 rpms. You need the secondaries to open up to have more top end.

I highly suggest getting a P72.

I would try to get an ITR P73 basemap. You are starving your motor of fuel with the B16 basemap.

Yes, the basemap DOES make that much of a difference. I was running a chipped P28 in my car that had an unknown basemap (I'm assuming it was for a 1.6L SOHC)...I then upgraded to a tuned chip from http://phearable.net that has a GS-R basemap that's been tuned for my set-up.....it's a completely different car now.
