Default Which ECU to use?

Hey guys i just got a 4dr GSR the motor was replace with a (blown) B20 and it runs a P75 ECU, I and am going to swap in the B16 bottom end in with a GSR head and skunk2 intake manifold. I am told to run the P28 or the P30 but so far nobody can verify which would be better no matter which one i get i will have it chipped it doesn't have secondary butterfly so the P72 will run like crap in it.

which would be the better one to run? P28 or P30

any of those ecus can be chipped to bypass secondaries (p28 and p30 dont have the chip to activate them) but the p72 can be chipped to ignore the secondary command

why in the world would you want to do that? b16 in a 4door would be slow as ballz.....if anything just build that b20 and slap a GSR head on that. B16 in a db would be a major downgrade.

heres the thing if you read that it was a blown B20 you would realize that might be the reason that i am putting in a B16 that just happen to be laying around. I am just asking a simple question i don't want ppl why the hell are you putting in a B16 if you want to fork over some cash for a New B20 please feel free, if not don't go talking ****.

i agree with him.. u wouldnt be happy to put the b16 block in there... but to answer your question, any obd-1 ECU chipped to your specs should be just fine

Try and sell the B16, or trade it for a B20. Either way, you will regret going with the B16. So just sell the B16 for a better swap.

well you should get the block checked first to see if there is any warpage usually when you have a blown motor most of the time it's because of the head. if the block is still within spec then you should be good to slap on that B16 head.

the thing about the b20 block is that the dumbshit that owned it before me abuse the crap out of it and there is a giant hole in the front. but get this they tried to patch the hole with a flat coke can and cement, idiots how much is a B16 bottom end worth? i just might take your work on selling it and get a B18c i know B16 are slow watching a Si with a B16 run 17.8 is slower than the EK hatches sohc motor. but sometime you just got to work with what you got.

You can make a B16 very fast with the right mods, if you have it keep it Or just swap in an H22
