Need Opinions Please
i have pretty much a stock 2004 SSM EP3 and im looking into getting foglights for my car soon maybe sometime this week i really cant decide if i should go for the yellow tint or clear...i mean ive seen plenty of yellow but never any clear im just wondering what everyone thinks ..anything would be appreciated..i have 4500k hids also if that helps..just cant decide on the color..blah sorry if this is a useless topic
You should get yellow fogs. Yellow makes them actually FUNCTIONAL in rain and fog. Imagine that... something functional vs. for looks. Clear "fog lights" should be called "driving lights" since they do not aid visibility in severe weather.

Blue is rice (6K-8K). Purple is ultra rice (9K-12K). UV is stupid, dangerous, and illegal (13K-20K). Not to mention that the higher on the color scale you go, the LESS lumens (light output) the lights produce. Why would you spend the money to upgrade your headlights only to have them produce less light than the stock halogens? Blue light is the worst color for the eyes and will cause fatigue vs the natural light color of the 4300K-5K. I bought my HIDs so that I could see the road better, while other drivers see me better. Function over form.
Here is a pic of the 4300K-5000K HID combo with yellow fogs:

4300K-5000K is color temperature for the headlights. 4300K-5000K looks almost the same, but the range is the closest to OEM color. Different manufacturers rate them differently.
As for the fog lights, the yellow color would be around 2500K-3K if you were going to order an HID kit. However, if you have fog lights with yellow lenses, you don't need yellow bulbs. I just have halogens in my fogs and as you can see, they are plenty bright even compared to the HIDs. If I were to upgrade to HIDs in the fogs, as long as I got the same 4300K-5K kit, they would come out the intended color.
I think you will be fine with halogen fog lights. And you won't have to worry about mounting and grounding two more HID transformers.
