there is no such thing as a "stock ballast" on a 95 ls or any integra for that matter because no no usdm integra came with factory or "stock" hid's

OEM 4100k and 4300k is brighter than 10000k and 8000k

Edit:
For Projectors:

For Reflectors:

***The links above are examples, and I am not recommending these sellers.

I would stick to OSRAM and PHILIPS.

i think he prolly got the ebay PNP kits. and for your brightness issure. the higher the K the less usable light. And HID's are NOT the same as reg. halogen bulbs. halogen when it goes bad, just goes out and stops working. HID, the more you use the dimmer they get over time. Also if you buy a **** *** brand of HID light, its lumen rating goes down dramaticly after say 100 hours.

this is my TSX retrofit with 4300k OSRAM xenarc bulbs.

This is a PnP **** kit. (DIFFERENCE OF BEING PULLED OVER)

This is legit retro fit. (DIFFERENCE OF NOT BEING PULLED OVER)

no such thing as making HIDS brighter, but changing from 8000k to 43000k will def provide better output, and not as annoying to other drivers. I personally hate to see 2 huge glary blue or purple headlights coming at me....and im pretty sure that other drivers dont like as well...

the best investment you can make, that will actually improve the intensity and output of hids will be to do a retrofit. It is a little more costly, but if youre looking for the best visibility, and not blind other drivers, a retrofit is the most efficient.

Because HIDs were not meant to be put in non hid bowls and behind non hid lenses, they do not perform as expected. I mean you get a plug and play kit for about 300. i would just save up a little more, like another 200, and buy a set of hid projects, ballasts and bulbs as a set. Then it will be time to experiment, by doing a do it urself retrofit. if you are uncertain about the process, you can get them retroed for about 250 from customlightz.

thats where i got mine done, and it was the best investment ive made for my car besides the Tein Flex with custom spring rates lol

I guess thats just the guy i am...i like things that do their job, and perform up to standards...

it all depends on what you want, but for better visibility and output....a retro...for sure.

hope this helps

I personally laugh at 8000k and 10000k when I see them. I would rather keep my halogens then get one of the sad plug and play kits.

--- Read this, and this solves your problem. HIDs just get dimmer the more you use them, and the cheaper the build the faster the dim. If you buy PNP kits from ebay, they give you crap HID lights, which are gonna dim close to nothing after 75-100hours of on time.

Whoa man...there's no way that's a PnP kit in an Integra! Stock projectors in integras are way, way more suitable than those reflectors. You can't mislead people like that...obviously retrofits are preferred for ANY application, but stock teg projectors don't put out scattered light like that. Unless of course they have those crappy halo/black housing headlights...

Hey man...the rotation of your projectors is WAY off...it flares up too much at the end of the cutoff, thats almost as bad if not worse to oncoming traffic as plug and play kits....

the second pic is the way it should look...completely horizontal, not angled up at eash side.

--- i never said it was PNP kit in integra, just said it was PNP kit. not many cars come with halogen projectors. I was just giving example of how it looks usually.

--- I have the right side flared on purpose. Left side isn't that bad. When this picture was taken i was over 100feet away from the wall. Right slide flare isn't that bad, that was from me not using spacers, it's really no big deal. right side, like i said was done on purpose. "flaring" for street signs etc. etc.

^ You're right. Good post regardless, some people need to look before they leap, and throw a kit in a 94 civic

ok the right side is understandable since the purpose is to light up street signs. but that left side, can be really a hazard for oncoming traffic. anyway, i guess its not that much, i was just saying that it could have a blinding effect on other people, especially with the flicker and intensity that the tsx projectors have.

here are some pics of my tsx projector retro, 2007 infinity g ballasts, 4300k philips bulbs, shield modded, with integra clear lens swap ( no lines on the lenses)

and the clear aftermarket lenses, along with painted bezels (flat silver)

hopefully these pics will make you want to save up a little more and get something that really increases your visibility...

yea, thats nice. I didn't mean to do it to the left side. This was my first retrofit, and i did it with literally no help. I did a couple since then, and im way better @ it now. I think mine came out nice though taking in consideration of the skill lvl @ the time.

--- those are the lenses from the ebay headlights from the look of it. If they are the oem ones, he sanded them off and polished them.
