Hi i have a 99 dx with a d16y7, im building a d16y8 motor and was wondering if i can use my p28 ecu with the Y7 motor before i finish the y8 build. reason why is i have gauges to wire and wanna tap into the ecu conversion harness rather then cuttin up my honda harness.

you will need the OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness so you can use the p28 ecu (obd1) on the Y8 (odb2)

 

I have the harness as well as the ECU so its gonna run perfectly even with the y7 motor?

 

oooo so you have the the obd1 ecu and the obd1 harness and want to put in on the y7?? i wanna make sure im reading this right.

hummm i need to think about this but i think there are a few things on a obd2 motor that a obd1 harness may not cover. do a search like im going to.
