Just put in my Tein Springs......
I had them installed this week, and it looks great, but now whenever i turn my steering wheel, i hear like a crunching sound on the front right wheel, ive looked to see if its rubbing and its not, i cant figure out where that noise is coming from, its only when i turn the steering wheel, what did they mess up...................?
My Tein S-Techs are silent as OEM (because they are installed correctly). Usually the only reason why a spring will make noise is because of improper installation.

x2..I cant count the amount of times I have seen posts like this..if you know anything about suspension then try to do it yourself..take the spring back of its probably not fitted right it has to be a certain way to fit the shock and the hat at the top..if its not fitted properly then you will hear crunching and what not from the spring not beating seated properly

i had tein s techs on my 05... had them make noise every day looked at and tweaked lots of times nothing helped.... go buddyclub deff worth it
I was going to start a new post but considering this was here i'll use it. My probem seems to be along the same lines as all of you, when I make left hand turns it sounds like my car is rubbing horribly, to the point people think my car is messed up when driving with me. It didn't start until a few months after install so I just assumed the springs settled low enough where it rubbed. Question is do Tien SS springs typically rub on DC5 fenders?

I Put on my hotchkis springs and got the noise to. From what I have heard you need to put the plastic wrap on your spring similar to what was on your stock spring. I am going to purchase them for mine and see. Go to this link and scroll down and look for the yellow Suspension Techniques Coils Silencer.
Has any done this? I have not yet. But soon will.

My tires don't rub with the S-Techs nor do I have any noise whatsoever. Either the bushing is installed incorrectly (not enough grease) or the tophat is fliped 180 degrees. Also, the rubber bushing could not be installed all the way into the tophat. Either way you'll makes noises when the car is turning.
Again, there is no reason for aftermarket springs to make noises if they are designed like the OEM springs. This is one reason why the S-techs are one of the best lowering springs for the RSX.
