hey people i got a 89 hatchy with a blue interior and i jus bought a black interior and im switching everything out (the blue) and putting the black back in but i have no idea how the hell to do the hell to do the dash HEEEEEEEEEEELP

not to be an *** but i did a quick search with the words == taking dash out==== and got nothin which is y i posted the question.................... i need help with taking it off.... and i can prolly put it back in by reversing the steps

 

i will take mine out and type up a digram tomrrow for you

 

dude have you even attempted to take it out? It's like one of those things that is obvious if you look around. Its bolted down below the climate control by one bolt, another bolt ontop near the windshield in the center, one on each side of the air vents(behind the vent), just look around.

After ALL the nuts and bolts are out, there is still some sticky type of weather stripping felt stuff that holds the dash to the front of the car under the windshield. You have to pry hard to get this stuff to let go. Be careful not to accidentally break the windshield with your tools during this part of the procedure. Good Luck...
