so ok. what the deal, i have a b16 now and i have smogged for 2 years, what is the most parctical LEGAL engine without having to bar?????? hopefully an engine with some *****!

 

Im going through with the b16 swap in my 88 si. Im from California too and have been through BAR. So far, the info I gathered, all you need is a usdm p30 ecu, 4-wire 02 sensor, exhaust manifold for the 02 sensor, 94-95 p30 intake manifold and throttle body, new cat, and a rywire obd-0 to obd-1 conversion harness. I will need to go through BAR because the reg expired and I bought it used... Im determined to get this done though and it shouldn't be too hard. Just get the right parts... I have my BAR paperwork from my 89 si with this same engine, and I got everything it says I need...

 

about how much ruffly are these parts? a ballpark. is this worth the effort???
