Default gsr into 93 da

so im swapping a b18c1 obd1 integra gsr motor into my 93 integra gs... i would like to keep stock mounts for now but which set do i use the stock da mounts are 14mm bolts (3) and the gsr has 2 17 mm bolts and 1 17mm stud- how do i get my stock mounts to work also there is a green plug on my stock b18a1 harness next to the oil sensor on the back of the block but my gsr does not have it- any ideas of what it is or if i even need it???

what year motor are you swapping in? i think the green plug you are referring to is the engine oil temperature switch that connects to your radiator fan control mod. i think its only found on US integra models 90-93 and is part of the a/c system.

the part of the motor mount that bolts to the actual motor on the driver side has holes for a 14mm bolt (3) to be exact and my 1995 gsr motor has the same 3 holes but they are 17mm bolts and so the 14mm bolt holes on the stock bracket dont fit on the 17 mm bolts

pull the bracket off the b18c1, not the mount off the bracket. you probably need to take off the timing cover. i did this exact swap. youll need an aftermarket mount if you intend to run the hydro tranny, or some welding skills and a mill. dont make it harder than it is.

it doesnt matter, theyre just bolts. i think i personally just reused the b18c1's bc they were newer.

solve the problem- brought the bracket to a local machine shop and they are boring (lol) the holes so the 17mm bolts fit

all you needed to do was take off the timing cover and take the bracket off the block.

ok- i am using the stock b18a1 bracket and mount and putting it on the gsr- but the bolts that hold the original gsr bracket to the motor were 17mm and the ones i took off the b18a1 were 14mm so the 17 mm bolts wouldnt fit through the holes on the b18a1 bracket- the whole time i was asking i understood what bracket to use just didnt know how to mount it- but i had a machine shop drill it out so the gsr bolts would fit- so were good now

If you are keeping the power steering system you are going to use the upper gsr braket and LS for the lower one.

FYI motor is running in the engine bay- whether it was worth the 30 bucks or not- im trying to explain what was wrong as easy as possible- my gsr bracket off the motor used 17mm bolts- obviously the holes were drilled and tappen bigger at some point- the bolts that came off the bracket on the ls engine were 14's- you say use the stock b18a1 bracket- GOT IT but the holes on it are made to fit 14mm bolts not the 17mm i needed to use to bolt it to the gsr- problem solved no need to hate on me figured i could come and ask a question but everyone would rather bash me then help- so i did what i had to do- end of problem
