Default Help car shuts off.

Hey guys, well for the past few weeks my car has shut off on me a number of times. It seems to be an electricle problem. First my stereo goes out, then my tach drops down to almost 0 rpm. The headlights dim down. The car idles good even though the rpm drops but after a couple minutes the car just turns off. I checked the battery.. its good. The previous owner of the car relocated the battery to the trunk and he used some stereo fuses and terminals to do the power hook up. Do you guys think it might be that? Also he put in one of those anoying push buttom ignition starts. Sorry for the lack of information but I cant figure it out.

Thanks for your time.

Here are a couple of pics of that stereo setup.

Forgot to mention that. After it shuts off it will restart after 10mins or so. But somtimes it wont. I had to push it out of a taco bell drive thru once. This seems to happend when I drive the car hard or when I bump up the music. Other than that it hasnt shut off.

Have your alter checked. They can do a load test. Will prob have to be replaced. For your system buy a hi amp alter for like 130 on ebay instead of oem one

ckeck your wires and make sure they arent grounding. If i were you i would disconnect the stereo wires and see if that fixes it.

If the battery is fully charged and starts and the battery light is on. Your charging system is not working. have the belt tension checked and then alternator. good luck
