Default CRX turbo help

so i just installed a T3/T4 hybrid turbo with a inner cooler on my 88 CRX with the D15 in it. im running stock everything els and the most boost i can get is 3psi in second gear. i have check everything for leaks and couldn't find any. so my question is do i need to change out my stock manifold to a performance bigger one?

The problem is not your manifold. It sounds like it maybe wastegate related or a boost leak that you have not found.

What stock manifold are you using? Your gonna have to be a little more specific in order for us to pin point your possible culprit. From what you have described I would also have to say its wastegate or a leak issue. I am going to lean more towards a gate issue as opposed to a leak.

dont beat it till its tuned or youll learn the hard way. As for the low boost, check everything and make sure its tight and make sure your boost gauge isnt broken because mine was 5psi off for some reason and i thought i had a leak too.

ya being in tucson the tuner shops really dont know what they are doing and it would cost what i payed for the turbo kit to have the car tuned so it kinda sucks.

What injectors, and fuel management do you have?

Also, sounds like you have an exhaust leak of some sort.

Check all your couplers on the cold side. And also post a pic of the manifold setup.
