ok everyone asks this question , its enevitable, so heres my turn, what inexpensive ways to make more horsepower other than major engine mods on my first gen with the DOHC d16a1, i already plan on a new header, catback, and CAI, but whatelse can i do?

 

There is no cheap way to make horsepower. and with a d16 your best bet is to swap it out or turbo it.

 

How much is more? You can't make A LOT more without:

a) Going turbo/SuperCharger/Nitros with TUNING

b) Tearing apart the engine and building it NA with TUNING

c) Spending more than you want on ^^^ this stuff

Also, c) is going to go along with either a) or b).

You can get some more with the I/H/E you mentioned, along with cams, ECU chip and TUNING.

Sorry to say, but your D16 is not very loved by the aftermarket.

other than that. you could swap with a B series or boost.

 

OK well anyone know where i can get a turbo setup that would work good for my ZC??

OR
what engine would make more power and fit into my integra easily, is there one that i can put in that will work with my current trans? or a package Motor/Trans that will drop in?

Hey try(http://www.g1teg.org/phpbb/index.php) just for 1st gens.And i think any d series turbo manifold will work for turbo set.
