Turn the key to the on position and listen closely to the 2-3 second vibration coming from behind your seat. If you hear the sound, your fuel pump may not be the problem. At that point pop the hood, take the spark plugs out, and place them on the intake manifold while the wires are still attached. Turn your key to the start position and spin the engine over while watching the plugs from inside your car. If they all spark then your plugs are probably not the problem. If you cant figure out your problem from this diagnosis then hit me back.

cylinder # 4 is misfiring. I changed the spark plugs n when i took the old ones out, the bottom part of the plugs where the threads are were drenched in oil....could this mean da rings are shot? n the car is still runing on 3 cylinders....i havent tried a different dizzy yet cus i dont have one but i am getting spark to all 4 wires....i'm lost guys, this is my only car....i'm in trouble....

Oil on the plugs is spark plug o-rings. A valve cover gasket kit for $20 usually includes them..
Misfiring could be as simple as replacing the plugs..

i replaced the plugs today n i also have purchased dat kit before. The oil on the plugs is not on top of the plugs or on the white part, it's on like the bottom where the threads are. The tube wires dont really have any oil on them. I was using ngk iridiums with ngk wires n stock dizzy......today i replaced them with normal ngk plugs but i didnt replace the wires yet. cylinder 4 is still misfiring n the car drives slow obviously because its on 3 cylinders.......do u guys think da dizzy might be bad even though i get spark? i really wasnt looking to getting a swap til the summer nor do i have da money for it right now...

I had this problem but mine was worse. I was on a highway and had to pull off. I pulled into a gas station and my rex was smokin and sputterin bad!!
Luckily i had my tools, so pulled each plug and #4 was oil drenched. I dried it up and put it back in and nothing!

i waited for my friend to follow me home and drove local all the way. Car would not go past 4k rpm and smoking like a bitch,

Removed the exhaust manifold and found oil in the #4 port.

I pulled the motor and did a b swap. Later on i dissasembled the old motor and found a hole in #4 piston It was a hole in the middle and a hairline crack on both sides of the hole.
