Default Recommendation on replacement stock speakers...

Hey there, first post here and first-car owner of a 1994 White Honda Civic LX Sedan. Yes, I am excited!

I like the my music on my iPod, so the blown stock speakers and stock radio gotta go, but I am on a budget.

I am looking at these for the front doors:
Pioneer TS-G1641R

These for the rear:
Pioneer TS-A1672R

And finally, this cd player to wrap it all up:
Pioneer DEH-P4000UB

So what do you all think of the combination?

It's a good basic system that will do the job and sound pretty good.

However... I would change one thing, forget the pimp 3way TS-A1672Rs for the rear, get another set of the TS-G1641Rs for the rear and disable the tweeters in them, high frequencies from behind you will will only mess up the staging and imaging. 94

So get TS-A1672Rs all the way around, and the ones in the rear, disable the tweeters. Ok, how would I go about doing such?

Cut one of the leads on the small cap on the tweeter, or just desolder one of the leads. 94
