Motor build suggestions
OK, this is my first B series build. Its going in my EG hatch as a street/track car. mainly autoX and Road racing. Ive got most of everything I need to start putting it together, but I have run into a problem. I initially wanted 11.5-12:1 compression. But I found a nice deal on some CTR pistons. My problem now is from what I can tell with my GSR short block, the ctr pistons and my b16a head, i will have arround 12.7: compression. And then I dont know how all that will work with my toda spec b cams. What I would like to know is:
Can I just get a thicker head gasket?
Or should I just try to get some different pistons?
My set up so far as stated above is:
GSR block and crank
ITR rods
CTR pistons
B16a head
Toda Spec B cams
Can anyone help me or suggest something that will work?
