Car doesn't turn over - makes buzzing sound
I was driving along (in the rain) and randomly all my lights dimmed. When i used the blinkers, they flashed twice as fast as they should - the engine seemed unelected by it. I think everything went back to normal just before i turned the car off.
When i try to start it, the car just makes a clunk (like starter hooking up to the flywheel) and a buzzing nice. The car is parked in the side of the street in a downtown area so i can't leave it there for long and don't have any tools in the car. If any one can explain to me what's going on, I will really apreciate it.

sounds like a dead battery, rain might have killed your alternator. Check your your engine harness ground on the thermostat housing (follow the lower radiator hose to the engine). If thats disconnected your engine won't try to start, it'll just buzz
Don't know what it was, but i just jumped the car and it ran perfectly fine for a day. About an hour ago as i was pulling up to my house (pissing out as usual) and all my light dimmed, then dimmed some more and then the engine died as i was pulling into my driveway. The ground on the T-sat housing seems to be attached, what's going on here?
This happened to me, my radio started to spazz out so i turned the car off and car wouldnt turn over. My battery went out and i had to give it an hour charge and it seemed to be fine again. and the next day i tightened my alt. belt and the problem hasnt occured since
so im guessing you have a dead battery, or an Alternator that wont hold a charge
did your check engine light pop on?

No check engine light, but the battery symbol light came on. And i don't know if this anything to do with this but my engine has been revving up to 2000 rpm in idle when it's warming up. Until now it idled at about 1500
Sounds like an alternator issue. If the brushes are worn, it could charge decently at first but as the car heats up and load time increases, the brushes may not be making firm contact to the "alternator shaft" (proper term escapes me.)
Try replacing the alternator brushes. SIMPLE job. remove alternator, remove alternator cover, and the brushes will be staring at you. Phillips head screw driver removes them. The part is like $30 from your local stealership. Use some light grit sand paper to freshen up the "alernator shaft" pickup.
I've done this on dozens of civics. If you've had the car for awhile, and have never touched the alternator, it coudln't hurt. The brushes are a simple fix for much increased longevity.
edit: SPIKEY also makes a great point. high moisture can cause an untightened belt to slip on the alternator, creating an under charge situation.
Electrical problems are difficult to diagnose without pulling out the ol' service manual.
Good luck. Let us know the resolution you find. This post will be useless later when a new guy does a search if you don't.
