looks like the pic is not working, but painted spoiler, steels with plastic covers, a better stereo, i think AC was still optional on the DX. not a lot really.

there is really very little difference, not enough to warrent extra cash. my little CX came with the cargo shelf and rear wiper and washer. might of been a Canadian thing. No passenger airbag in mine though.

I rehosted the hatch image on the link posted above. Here's the info in text though. This is just regarding the CX versus the DX.

Just noticed I somehow forgot the cargo cover in the chart, but I'll fix it later. I've noticed several things missing from each chart and constantly want to add more anyway.

'96-'00 CX hatch versus '96-'00 DX hatch

Vins:
2HGEJ632 (CX)
2HGEJ634 (DX)

Both cars were built in Canada.

Both have the 1.6L SOHC non-VTEC D16Y7 with the same exact specs. Both also have the same transmission options (5MT or 4AT) with the same gear ratios.

Original MSRP (CX / DX):
1996: $10,360 / $11,630
1997: $10,945 / $12,195
1998: $11,045 / $12,495
1999: $11,065 / $12,515
2000: $11,165 / $12,615

Stock weight (CX / DX):
1996: (unsure) / (unsure)
1997: 2286 / 2304
1998: 2295 / 2339
1999: 2359 / 2388
2000: 2359 / 2388

- Roma Red (R-97): Available for 1996-2000 for both trims. Hatch only color.

Color options (interior):
- Excel Charcoal (Type F / Light Gray): Available for 1996-1997 for both trims.
- Classy Gray (Type K / Dark Gray): Available for 1996-2000 for both trims.
