Few more questions about b16 and wiring
Ok, i got my alarm fully removed and all the wires cleaned up and re-wrapped. While into my wiring i noticed a few things. 1st is that my oil pressure sensor is completely un-connected. The connector appears to be of a home-made type and the wire doesnt go anywhere. Is there a reason they would do this? Also, there is a black wire with a red stripe that was strung across my engine bay and then through the fire-wall but then just left hanging. It goes to somewhere near the starter but i havent looked for its exact location yet. Neither of these were hooked into the alarm in any way but just left to hang. Any help?
also, ive got a d16 obd1 harness. If i use this with my obd1 b16 will everything work? also also, there is a wire added to a sensor just above the oil pressure sensor, Im assuming this is vtec related as the wire runs straight to the ecu and is clearly after-market(half of a piece of speaker wire lol) Would my new harness include this?

if your using a d16 harness, then vtec should already be done, however you will need to wire the knck sensor. as far as the oil pressure un-connected and the wire hanging around, do they go together by chance?
Im confused, does what go together? Thank you for reminding me that the b16 has a knock sensor, that is the extra wire/sensor above the oil pressure. I dont see another wire like the oil pressure one (color wise) does anyone know where teh oil pressure wire ends up? ecu? cluster? both?
I was talking about the oil pressure that you said want wired up and that wire that went around the starter somewhere (if i read right). The oil pressure just goes to the ecu i believe.
ok, then they were doing something wierd. The oil pressure wire goes to the drivers side, so does the other wire. They are different colors and both are cut, un-stripped with the shielding pulled up to cover exposed wire. Wouldnt my car throw a cel for no oil press if it was disconnected?
