Just bought Progress rear sway bar, need to upgrade endlinks?
Hey guys,
I just bought the Progress rear sway bar/tie bar kit for my EP3, so I'm wondering if I need to replace the OEM endlinks with some better ones?
I remember reading on ephatch.com that the stockers are weak and prone to breaking with upgraded sway bars.
Any truth to this? My oem integra endlinks never broke with my 23mm sway bar
Also if I DO need to replace them, what brands are available or do you recommend?
Thanks HT!

I put a CTR rear sway on my EP, and didn't change the end links. This was about 14 K miles ago, so I don't know if their prone to breakage or not. All I can say is the end liinks were a bitch to get apart for the install. Good luck man.

Any tips for the install? Thanks for the quick responses guys!

PB blaster, and some long hex heads, you'll need the leverage. We had put a open end wrench on the end of the hex, to get it loose. By no means was this an easy install for me, luckily I had friends over. You'll be taking turns trying to muscle them off. Just make sure the hex head is all the way in, we were on the verge of stripping the driver's side. My CTR sway will be on the car for life, I'm never going to change it if I don't have to.
LOL. My car is a 2005 so rust hasn't been a problem so far. And I'm pretty sure my brother has some hex-head impacts available if that should be necessary.
You might not have room for the impact, but if you do- they should come right off. Hope you have a better experience than I did with them.

You'll be suprised. My problem was never getting the power to turn the nut but to avoid stripping the inside of the hex bolt. Spray PB on it a good day in advance on all 4 nuts.

Alright lol but guys I'm not worried about the install, more about breaking an end link down the road.
So...yay
or nay
to replacing the endlinks?

THAT'S what I'm talking about!! Thanks Rice

I upgraded to a DC5R sway bar and it was a simple swap with no issues, and was done in 20 minutes. I did not change anything except the sway bar bushings to Energy Suspension polyurethane.
So apparently the Function7 Endlinks aren't getting great reviews (although on different applications), has anybody tried the CorSport endlinks yet?
What other brands are available? I'm having trouble finding these!

Just get Corsport. Cheap and durable. Mine haven't broke and I've hit 0.96g a few times. They are probably warrantied for awhile too.
