Default Compression reading 125psi across

just did a compression reading on my car and got 125psi across all four cyclinder. added oil to it and got 155psi. motor is 97 gsr (jdm) with roughly 60k miles on it. it was really cold outside but i drove the car for 15minutes (the time it took to get from my place to my buddy's) at 75mph so it should be up to operating temperatures. does it really matter if the you have the car on WOT or not ?? this reading is not WOT. let me know what you think.

If they're consistent, that's all that really matters. I dont know what the stock readings should be for the compression....IIRC they're near 200psi. Someone correct me if i'm wrong

ya something is deff wrong, a gsr shud be in the 200 zone or higher, even an ls is about 180psi his was 155 with oil so thats bad comp. does your car smoke a certain color?

no smoke...but just black residue on the muffler from normal use. its up in wisconsin and tonight was pretty cold...could weather outside have an effect on reading??

Yes, WOT matters. The ultimate magnitude of the reading really depends on the tester. The consistency between cylinders is more critical. Rerun the test with a warm engine at WOT.

dogginator is right , every single time i did comp test is at WOT, you gotta keep your foot on the gas pedal when doing this very important key right there
