1997 compression?

1997 compression?
I just checked the compression on my 97' Civic LX: Cylinder/Reading=1/132-2/129-3/134-4/131. I was wondering what the normal readings should be. The car has 229,000 miles on it and has been feeling sluggish.

They're all pretty even so that's a good thing. The numbers are kind of low, but with the amount of miles on the motor it doesnt surprise me.

I did the compression check on my d16y7 and all of the cylinders were around 170 with a difference of around 2 psi between cylinders. According to the manual, 180 is the standard and the minimum is around 130-135psi with a difference between cylinders allowed of 28psi.

The helms specifies a min. reading of 135 with max variation of 26.
Did you do the test at WOT with all your plugs out? Good numbers are 180-200.

Well, oil and coolant mixing is a sure sign, as well as white smoke all the time. You could also do a leakdown test.
