IS IT WORTH IT TO WRAP TURBO HEADERS JUST WONDERING

Header wrapping keeps heat in which is good for the engine bay and parts that might be around it, BUT at the same time it is putting alot more stress on the header itself which could cause cracking.

It keep the gas at a higher enthalpy which is good for spooling your turbo at the cost of more stress on the manifold.

you dont have a header wat u have is an exhaust manifold and yes u could wrap it in heat wrap i think it cost about 15$ a roll i got mine frrom nopi

the first thing i did on my old ek was wrap it..

its the exact opposite of a condom. What are your trying to not burn/melt/destroy?

imo i would wrap the AC lines if you have them in the insulation(shiny metallic) wrap. Other wise take off plastics close to it, dont use rubber hoses for your oil feed and return lines if you are worried about it.
