Default Ep3 jrsc help!

ok boys, so i decied to put my charger back on and now im in all kinds of problems. I can't figure out why it's doing or sounds like this. It's the jrsc race kit with kpro and i'm sure everything is hooked up right. The car revs to 4k three times then dies and i think it's a vac. leak but now i'm not sure. I am useing this with the hondata img and thats it. look at the video and you can see what it's doing. The charger never whined this loud before. any help would be great.

I thought that the thing could be in reverse but i have been told that's not possible.

Do you have the vacuum bypass valve hooked up correctly? If you're running a blower and it isn't set to bypass the blower, it will try to build pressure. Since its pulling high vacuum between it and the TB, its probably making -10 Hg" to 1psi. That is more than enough to push it to 4k.

It should be the small tube/parts below the blower. In the pic, its below the blower and the round port on the tb-jrsc adapter:

Is the vacuum bypass valve the "wastgate"? If so i have it hooked up after the tb like you see in my first pic. When i got the car it was on and worked fine. The only thing i have done is take the charger off so i could install the hondata img. And the thing i can't get is why the charger is whining so loud. I have never head it that loud.

Vaccum leak. Follow your tracks, and find where it's sucking air.

I have traced every vac. line and they are all fine. The only thing that i think it could be is it's not sealing between the head the the manifold b/c of the hondata img. I don't see why that would not work but it worked fine with the paper gasket that the kit came with.

Get a can of brake clean or carb cleaner and spray it around any surfaces that you think it might be leaking.

You'll know if its leaking. Cheapest way to check for a vac leak.

It wont run long enough for me to do that. I just can't see why it would do this with the hondata img but not the paper one. And since i have it running right now n/a i know it's not leaking from the tb an know that all my sensors are good.

Listen for the slight whistling sound while the engine is running. And if you're using the same gaskets you used before, they should be replaced every time they're removed. For instance, you don't reuse a head gasket after a mini-me swap.

The throttle body cable may be too tight which pulls it up to 4k- If not it may be an ECU problem

If you solved the problem then happy trails!

me and buddy but the gasket on backwards that goes between charger itself and the aluminum intake plenum. it's not obvious, but one side is a little slimmer than the other. forgot which side goes where, but check on ephatch. we did it and fixed the idle problem.
