Moroso spiral flow muffler
So i bought this muffler thinking it would be striaght through but i guess i didn't read that well
Anyways has anyone tried this, and before and after dyno's, how do you like etc... I dont know if i should sell it or put it on. Oh this is going way back in the exhaust system if i do put it on.
Heres a pic of how it looks.

I'll post up what I've heard, mainly for a bump for you. . .
Anyway, from what I've heard and read about these, they sound pretty decent, but they may not flow very well. Also, by all accounts the internals break loose in short order from the outside case, and then they rattle like crazy.
I've only tried a few Moroso products, but I've yet to be really impressed. . .
EDIT: Oh yeah, from what I've tried, this is the bomb for being a high quality piece that really helps out the sound of a 4-banger, and still flows really well:

But those Hushmasters only come 2"-2.5". Design a muffler however you want, 2.5" is not 3".
I'd suggest you sell that muffler and just go with the cheap summit resonators. They work fine, sound good, are half the price, and come aluminumized. They look like have a slight restriction because they are louvered instead of having a perferated tube, but the actual cross-section isn't bad.

Not sure what you mean?
But yeah, the small-case hushpowers are only tubing sized 2" to 2.5". Either way it's the same internal construction, and flows over 600cfm.
Hushpower is just getting into making some BIG ones that have a round body, 6"x16", and have the convergent and divergent cones inside, but are sized for tubing 3" to 5" IIRC. They're running them on some big power pulling trucks. I'm thinking of trying one as a muffler, since I don't think I can fit a 6" body in a resonator application.
