My friend plans to do his Advanced timing i think on his distributor. Is this even a good idea? If it is, will u feel it significantly?

 

There is no reason to advance timing on a stock engine.

I herd if you take the distributor off it will run faster

 

i dont think its a good idea, you wont gain much of anything.

I did it and didnt feel a difference,so I switched it back to 16deg btdc on my da.Here is where I found the info http://www.g2ic.com/tegtips/engine/7.html
