intake for ek civic with gsr motor
I have a '97 civic with a gsr swap and I plan on using a Blox intake manifold. I was going to buy a J's racing intake, but I see that they make one for an ek and one for a dc2. Which one would I need to buy for my setup? I searched and even posted in the Hybrid forum and got nothing. Thanks guys

??? That doesn't answer the question.
OP: Use the one for an Ek. Make sure it was meant to be used for the Ek with either the B series or a non D16Y7. Although, I doubt J's would make the intake for a Y7
The intake should be designed for a CTR which has the same style manifold as the rest of the 91+ B series lineup. The GSR's stock manifold is the only one that mounts differently. If you install the blox manifold, it will put it in normal B series fashion....like a CTR or Si.

Hmm. While having a GSR in my EJ8 (stock manifold), I used a cheap GSR ebay one. Once installed Skunk2 IM, I still used the Ebay GSR Intake. Just bends a little different. Idk about those huge odd looking J's intakes.
lol I don't even know if I help

Yep. I have a 99 GSR. Bought a cheap ebay intake. Bought a Skunk2 manifold later. The EBAY intake worked...but looked stupid. I really really hate the way the DC2's intake is mounted (if you get a CAI). I have a stock box with a iceman intake cut into a SRI going into the stock box now. It looks a lot nicer.
The 99-00 non EX models mount the same way as the DC2....and I hate that **** too. When I had a 99 hatch, I just hole saw'd a 3.5'' hole in the pre embossed panel behind the passenger headlight. The hole is allready there on EX models. I routed it like the 92-95 civic or del sol intake is routed. It provided a lot better shield from water, and looked 100X cleaner.
