FUEL SETUP weird question, looking for your input :)

is it possible to weld a stainless AN fitting to the stock hardline coming from fuel pump cover like so in the pictures....
REASON WHY ASKING, im having serious problems getting my hardline to braided line setup to not leak.... have used fast-turbo compression fittin setup, swagelock double compression fitting setup, and the good old flare and tube nut.... i do not get why i still have serious leaks, plus I noticed my fuel feed hardline before it goes from bay to under the chassis is kinked somewhat.
anyone have any input, I have all the parts here and a buddy who welds like a champ, so why not?
I think you will find sticking a -6 on that metal line will be like throwing a hotdog down a hallway, I had issues like you and decided to just run fuel inection hose off the OEM metal and connect that to a barb fitting that converts to AN. I also cut the stock feed off and welded a -6 bung to there for the return.

I just used -6an Rubber fue line (like for the push-loc fittings, and just pushed it on as far as possible, and then used 2 small clamps, and it seems to be on there pretty tight.
i didnt think putting my braided -6AN line I have running to the fuel rail over the stock hardline (unflared, etc just straight line) was safe to clamp on there.... i mean it'll work, but I want something with no leaks and reliable
yes I know, but what I al left with is my stock hardline that came cutoff with no flares and a rubber hose clamped to it to my oem filter....
i have since got rid of that and ran braided nylon lines to an inline filter etc, but nothing is sealing correctly on the hardline to AN fitting conversion, so I dont think that clamping the braided line to the hardline with a couple screw clamps is safe for the 50-60psi of fuel pressure you think?
I mean it worked last time when I had my car but I was trying to rid the bugs in my system for future reference

the clamp will work fine, but i know what you mean. you could always try welding a -6 fitting on and if it doesn't work just cut it off and use the hose idea. try welding one on a spare fuel unit if you can, just to practice. good luck

I am not sure about the size, but if you could find something lie this or even use this one, it would be ideal, they are a little pricy, but it would deffinatley be the best option. I think the 5/16" would be the right one.

ooh thats just like the quick connect on the stock line at the tank.... anyone confirm that is the correct piece I could use? I don't want to waste 40 bucks plus ship you know .....+1 for you!
the stock feed is a 5/16 OD line (-5 converted to AN) which is hard to come by. Aeroquip does carry -5 flare nuts and fitting, and you would have to flare the line.
i dont see a reason why the fitting wouldent work though.... try it out

yeah I did the whole -5an tube nut and tube sleeve, flare it , and -5 to -6 adapter fitting an still leakage... looking to stop the bullshit already and make something for sure that will work I wont have headaches with. I know people have done it tons of times, I must suck or something, hah.
The stock honda feedline is 5/16" not sure what it is on the pump cover, assume its the same. I wish I knew if that worked for sure, be so easy...
Otherwise I plan on welkding an AN fitting to it.
ANyone else...

damnn, good thing I just got a 50 dollar amex giftcard cause this ***** gonna come out to 48 bucks with the gay jegs handling fee... hopefully this works, anyone confirm the line is def 5/16? I'm 99.9% sure it is, they also sell a 3/8 quick connect like this, but im pretty sure honda uses 5/16
well you just f*cked up...

actually I think you are mistaken mike93, what you are refering to is a fuel line adaptor, what he ordered is an EFI adaptor, looks just like the OEM piece that slides over the pump cover tube.
