I just bought a 97 GSR and it has an after market alarm. The fob says it's a Python. There is a "box" on the firewall next to the siren, which I'm in process of moving both for a stealth install and I just can't figure out what this box is for?? It uses a key like a bike lock and has 3 positions it can be set to. All three allow the car to be started from the key. I thought it was a kill switch but now I have no idea what it is! Also, I took it off to see if the part number was on the bottom and it's VERY heavy, could it be a backup battery? Please help, let me know what I have to give you or look for to get the model number of the alarm so I can hopefully download a manual. Any help would be appreciated! Heres some pics of the box. Click on it for a bigger picture, box has red circle around it in first two pictures. and THANKS!

The black "box" is a backup batt. siren, disconnect a batt. lead to test it, key is to turn it off when working on the car, [and batt. needs to be disconnected]
Model number of the alarm will be on the alarm brain itself.
