Putting some prothane bushings in and the rear stud post on the tranny side stripped the threads on the inside of the 17mm nut. Going to get some replacements now....Any idea of what could cause this?? stud looks fine and nut was going on straight....lmk thanks HT

 

Probably rusted on and when you took it off it stripped. Or last time it was way over torqued.

 

I tried both nuts...one for the front stud and the one from the back stud...both were fine then stripped trying to replace the nut. they went on the front stud fine...then when putting one on the rear stud, both stripped. again...this is the nut being stripped

 

cmon guys cant drive this until this nuts are on....

 

Get new studs then

 

why would i need to get new studs....first of all its only the rear one...wouldnt putting new studs on the tranny be a total pain??

 

Wow...so now my studs are pretty much stripped. Anyone know hard it will be to replace these studs???
